You lead and shape the future of a global product portfolio for Traction Products. You are responsible for growth, innovation, and making our products stand out in the market. You work with teams around the world to drive success, build strong customer relationships, and make sure our business stays ahead. Your tasks

  • Own the full profit and loss accountability for the global Traction Products business line, focusing on growth, profitability, and cash performance.
  • Lead and scale a competitive product portfolio including Traction Motors, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), DC-DC Converters, and Auxiliary Converters.
  • Set clear goals for factories, product management, and engineering, making sure they align with business priorities.
  • Define and carry out global go-to-market strategies to increase market share and deepen customer relationships.
  • Set and drive performance targets for quality, improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Lead marketing, sales, and customer engagement strategies to boost growth and market presence.
  • Build strong connections with key customers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Lead the integration of new companies into ABB, making sure value and alignment are achieved.
  • Ensure top performance in manufacturing, supply chain, quality, delivery, and health, safety, and environment (HSE).
  • Build and support high-performing teams through coaching and talent development.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience leading global business lines or holding significant profit and loss responsibility in industrial, rail, mobility, or similar sectors.
  • Strong skills in strategy and commercial management, with success in scaling product portfolios and achieving business results.
  • Experience leading technology-driven businesses with manufacturing and full operational responsibility.
  • Experience in a product line operating model with distributed ownership and enterprise alignment.
  • Understanding of customer ecosystems across industries and ability to respond to market changes.
  • Proven leadership of large, cross-regional teams with a shared vision and goals.
  • Success delivering results in complex and fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including integration and value creation.
  • High personal integrity and strong commitment to values, ethics, and compliance.
  • Skills in leading change, fostering accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills at executive and board level.
