This role is part of the DC UPS agile team, responsible for profitable growth of your product line and contributing to ABB’s Power Protection business. The position is global, with a hybrid work model and preferred location in Europe or the US, but all candidates are welcome to apply.

Tasks

  • Understand and follow global standards, market and customer requirements, and their impact on the current offer portfolio.
  • Conduct valuation of market size and trends, competitor benchmarking (including reverse-costing), and identify offering gaps to strengthen ABB’s market standing.
  • Collaborate within the team and other Electrification teams regarding DC developments and align products with technical standards for successful DC UPS development.
  • Manage technical specifications for assigned products and support business cases for new developments, cost reduction, and lifecycle transitions.
  • Drive design-to-cost initiatives to achieve low kW targets without compromising quality or compliance.
  • Coordinate IEC/UL certification pathways, sustainability deliverables (EPDs, circularity), and preconfigured solution codes for priority regions.
  • Drive go-to-market activities, including product launches and brand positioning, together with other global functions such as sales enablement, customer success, training, support, and product expertise.
  • Drive pricing models and work with templates to achieve target profitability.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration (or equivalent).
  • Highly skilled in Agile methodologies and product management.
  • Understanding of High power / DC technologies within product management is considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management.
  • Gate model experience, stakeholder management, and collaboration with global functions such as Sales, Operations, and Service.
  • Advanced knowledge of PLM tools, SAP, and MS Office Suite; familiarity with cost modeling and competitor benchmarking is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage for APAC engagement.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
