Join a team that helps make industries cleaner and smarter. You will be part of a group working on new solutions for marine and port automation, focusing on machine learning and computer vision. This six-month internship gives you a chance to learn and grow with support from experienced engineers.
Your tasks
- Explore current challenges in marine or port operations by working directly with ABB R&D teams
- Review academic literature to understand the latest developments
- Design, test, and document possible solutions for automation systems
- Create quick prototypes through proof-of-concept projects
- Work with synthetic and real-world data from sensors like cameras and LiDAR
What you bring
- You are currently studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field (5th semester or higher)
- You are interested in data analytics, machine learning, or computer vision
- You have experience with Python and PyTorch
- Experience with ROS2 and/or LiDAR is a plus
- You communicate well in English
- You are eager to learn and can quickly adapt to new topics
- You are self-motivated and like hands-on work
- You can think conceptually and share your ideas clearly
- You are available for a six-month internship (start and end dates are flexible)
- If you are a non-EU/EFTA citizen, you need a certificate from your university showing the internship is mandatory for your studies
