Join a multidisciplinary team and support the development of advanced laser-based gas sensing systems. You will work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment, gaining hands-on experience in industrial R&D.
Your tasks
- Test and work on trace-level gas handling and conditioning systems in the laboratory
- Develop sensing technologies for detecting trace-level gases
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data
- Review academic literature
- Report regularly and contribute to decision-making for potential solutions
What you bring
- You are currently enrolled in at least your 5th semester in Physics, Photonics, Optoelectronics, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- You are interested in laser spectroscopy, laser physics, optics, sensor technology, sample handling and conditioning, signal processing, and data analysis
- You have experience with Matlab and Python
- You are willing to learn and ready to handle new research topics
- You are self-motivated with a practical approach
- You can think conceptually and express ideas clearly
- You are comfortable communicating in English
- For non-EU/EFTA citizens: a certificate from your university, showing that an internship is a mandatory part of your studies, is required for the visa application
