This role supports the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, focusing on quality culture, systems, tools, and skilled teams to meet customer expectations and ensure sustainable operations. The position is onsite in Quartino, Switzerland, within the Power Protection, Smart Power division.

Tasks

  • Support the deployment of the quality strategy for the local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and teams.
  • Assist in creating a mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems.
  • Collaborate with local functions to improve quality results and reach organizational targets.
  • Analyze non-conformities systematically to identify root causes and initiate cases in the Practical Problem Solving (PPS) tool to track corrective activities and ensure resolution.
  • Define containment, corrective, and preventive actions for PPS cases.
  • Facilitate Level 2 Quality Circles and escalate critical cases to Level 3 when necessary.
  • Contribute to the improvement of key quality metrics including First Pass Yield (FPY) manufacturing, Supplier PPM, Customer DPU, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Monitor and ensure timely closure of PPS cases.
  • Manage supplier non-conformities and identify top critical issues in collaboration with the Supplier Quality Manager.
  • Support Quality Technicians by identifying improvement opportunities to prevent non-conformities and minimize production disruptions.
  • Develop new quality gates and continuously improve existing ones to enhance product quality and process control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or SSST in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in quality or equivalent role.
  • Deep understanding of quality processes, including problem-solving methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard hours when required and ability to perform efficiently in demanding situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks efficiently and collaboratively in a constantly evolving manufacturing environment with regular adjustments and shifts.
  • Fluency in English and Italian (written and spoken).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is considered an advantage.
