Tasks
- Develop and design products, systems, and technologies by leading and managing one or more R&D projects to achieve project objectives.
- Coordinate the work of local and cross-functional project teams and provide leadership in collaboration with local managers, steering committees, product management, and external partners to ensure value creation.
- Plan, organize, and lead projects; assign tasks; motivate cross-functional teams; and apply project management methodologies and decision-making processes.
- Monitor project milestones, track costs, and manage changes and claims in accordance with defined processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks, oversee prototyping activities, and ensure on-time project delivery.
- Foster effective communication across project teams and maintain strong relationships with internal functions, R&D teams, customers, and external partners.
- Prepare comprehensive project reports and monitor financial performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, combined with experience as a development engineer.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies with a proven track record of successful application.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
- Comprehensive technical expertise in the development of low-voltage products, including mechanical and electrical systems, product design, and assembly processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
- Experience in CAD software such as SolidWorks considered an advantage.
- Self-driven, quick to learn, solution-oriented, and experienced in collaborating with global suppliers, engineering teams, and manufacturing locations.
