In this role, you lead the Sales, Service and Project Execution organization for ABB’s Critical Power Business Line in Switzerland and Austria. You are accountable for business performance, strategy implementation, and reaching challenging growth targets. You report to the Global Sales & Service Leader.

Your tasks

  • Oversee and implement the Critical Power business line commercial strategy (sales, tendering, project execution, and services) in Switzerland and Austria.
  • Evaluate market opportunities and take actions that align with Business Line objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as channels, end-users, consultants, and suppliers, to ensure commercial success and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Business Line functions (Project Management, Services, Operations) to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure pre-sales, tendering, system engineering, and product marketing functions are properly staffed and aligned with requirements across the countries.
  • Deliver projects on schedule, with quality and cost targets, following ABB’s project management frameworks.
  • Manage after-sales support and the overall service business in the region in line with Business Line objectives.

What you bring

  • Postgraduate degree or above in Business or Engineering; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in the UPS or Data Center industry.
  • Wide network in the data center and semiconductor industry and IT channels.
  • Strong influencing skills across functions, geography, and segments.
  • Experience managing large local/regional high-performance organizations and driving change in a matrix organization.
  • Familiar with tendering, commissioning, and project management processes.
  • Experience in electric (High, Medium, Low Voltage Products and Systems) and automation industry.
  • Understanding of mission critical segments: Data Center, Semiconductor, Infrastructure, Utility.
  • Knowledge of industry, local government requirements, global market conditions, sales methodologies, and use of SAP and smart tools.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%.
