As a Sales Support Specialist (f/m/d) at ABB in Switzerland, you will support the Electrification Service business unit by developing customer quotations and service solutions for low- and medium-voltage switchgear, emergency power systems, and digital solutions. You will use your technical expertise to analyse customer requests, clarify requirements, and ensure proposals are technically feasible and commercially competitive.

Tasks

  • Analyse customer inquiries and quotation requests for service, retrofit, and modernisation solutions related to electrical switchgear.
  • Define the scope of work, main components, and service deliverables based on technical requirements and practical feasibility.
  • Assess technical feasibility and solution availability in close collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, and Field Service teams.
  • Prepare cost calculations and technical sales documentation to support competitive and risk-conscious customer proposals.
  • Collaborate with Service Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Field Service teams to drive continuous improvement in the quotation process.

Requirements

  • Technical education in electrical engineering or equivalent hands-on experience in a technical environment is required.
  • Further education at technician (TS/HF), university of applied sciences (FH), or university level is considered an advantage.
  • Practical experience with low-voltage or medium-voltage switchgear, for example in assembly, commissioning, service, engineering, retrofit, or project execution, is highly valued.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical power distribution, switchgear components, and customer-focused service solutions is essential.
  • Interest in techno-commercial topics and the ability to translate technical requirements into clear and economically sound customer proposals is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is necessary; experience with cost calculations, quotation processes, or costing models is beneficial.
  • An independent, structured, team-oriented, and customer-focused working style is expected.
  • Good German and English communication skills or French and English communication skills are required.
