Your tasks
- Design, develop, and implement firmware for Power Electronic Converters and communication modules, focusing on strong performance and cybersecurity.
- Conduct unit, integration, and system testing to check software quality and reliability.
- Work closely with system architects and hardware/software engineers to turn system needs into detailed firmware plans.
- Contribute ideas for innovation and share knowledge with global engineering teams for continuous improvement.
What you bring
- Strong skills in C, C++, Python, and assembler, with solid computer science basics.
- Experience with structured development processes like requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
- At least 5 years of experience designing control firmware for microcontrollers or DSPs used in Power Electronic Products (such as UPS, BESS, Renewable Energy systems).
- Good knowledge of development tools like Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (git), lifecycle management, build systems, unit testing, debug probes, and oscilloscopes.
- Exposure to Cyber Security concepts and main industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, IEC61850, Profibus, CAN bus) is a plus.
- Enjoy working in a team and bringing new ideas.
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Information or Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a similar field.
- Comfortable communicating in English and Italian.
