As a Service Technician (f/m/d) at ABB Switzerland Ltd., you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of highly automated production equipment within a modern manufacturing environment. You will contribute to ABB’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence.
Tasks
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on highly automated production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams, Production Engineering, and external service providers to ensure smooth production operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment, including Lean Management activities.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as an Automation Technician, Mechatronics Technician, Mechanical Technician, Production Technician, Electrician, or in a comparable technical field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial automation, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex production and assembly systems, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components.
- NIV13 or NIV15 electrical installation certification is an advantage, or willingness to obtain it with ABB support.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, combined with a proactive and independent working style.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
- Excellent German language skills (written and spoken); English language skills are an advantage.
