As a Shift Leader IPU HPG at ABB in Switzerland, you will supervise shift teams within a production environment, ensuring adherence to work plans and operational standards. This hybrid role allows you to contribute to ABB’s commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to make recommendations to management and help drive on-time delivery and quality standards.

Tasks

  • Supervise shift teams to ensure progress against work plans within the production area.
  • Shape production line organisation, shift priorities, and address critical situations.
  • Drive innovation in production scheduling and reinforce quality standards.
  • Implement staff movements during shifts, such as vacations, illnesses, machine outages, or shifting priorities.
  • Deliver high-quality feedback and recommendations to management regarding production line issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create an effective work environment and reinforce production schedules.
  • Oversee cooperation and resolution of technical, quality, and logistic issues during shifts.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in electronic and mechanical assembly, quality check, and quality orientation.
  • Proven ability to use Microsoft tools, SAP, and other quality tracking tools.
  • Experience in production planning and human resources management.
  • Strong skills in production line and time keeping, monitoring product quality, and troubleshooting.
  • Fluency in Italian and English is required.
  • Experience working in the industrial electronics market and with production planning tools and safety checks.
