At ABB, you will help industries run leaner and cleaner, empowered to lead, supported to grow, and proud of the impact created together. This position contributes to the Business Line Mining & Materials in a global leadership role for the anchor product GMD (Gearless Mill Drive).
Tasks
- Ensure the effective delivery of the Service portfolio according to ABB's standard processes and safety guidelines, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical support and solve problems via remote or on-site service, including installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, back-office engineering and consulting, and retrofit engineering.
- Investigate customer needs through professional consulting.
- Manage customer relationships and maintain regular contact with key customers.
- Act as 24/7 support line for one complete week, approximately every two months, depending on availability.
- Proactively suggest product and quality improvements and communicate them within the ABB organization.
- Provide technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers.
- On-site assignments up to 40% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or any related field.
- Proven experience as an electrical engineer, product specialist, or in a similar technical role, preferably within the power electronics sector.
- Collaborative, solution-focused approach with effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration across departments and with customers.
- Attention to detail to ensure product conformity, accurate technical documentation, and adherence to quality standards.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in other languages such as Spanish is a plus.
