At ABB, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and deliver technical training in person or remotely to participants across the globe. You will prepare highly qualified ABB and Channel Partner service personnel worldwide to be confident in their product knowledge and ability to commission, service, and maintain Critical Power systems professionally and safely. Your focus will be on HiPerGuard MV UPS, UPS, STS, PDU, PCS, and Battery Systems. You will contribute to the Critical Power business line in the Electrification Smart Power division and be based in Quartino, Switzerland. The work model for the role is hybrid.

Tasks

  • Prepare and deliver training courses in classroom or on-site and follow up on post-training day activities.
  • Develop course material for classroom and on-site training in your own area of responsibility and advise on updates needed in e-learning material.
  • Support Field Service team and other teams/units, when necessary, using your own expertise in technical support tasks and roles.
  • Facilitate course administration by coordinating arrangements, responding to inquiries, and preparing training course proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in power protection, service operations, engineering, testing, technical training, or related electrical/electronic disciplines.
  • Experience in delivering technical training, knowledge transfer, or customer support activities is highly valued.
  • Hands-on experience with critical power equipment and systems is considered an advantage.
  • Additional education, certification, or practical experience in adult learning and training methodologies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation, training materials, and learning content.
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, combined with a self-motivated and innovative approach to adult learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.
