Are you passionate about improving manufacturing and logistics performance through structured analysis, Lean methodologies and practical Industrial Engineering solutions? As Senior OpEx Engineer, you will drive operational excellence across manufacturing and logistics, acting as a trusted partner to operational stakeholders and helping shape efficient, scalable and future-ready operations.

Tasks

  • Analyze and optimize end-to-end value streams, automated production processes and material flows.
  • Identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities using operational data and structured process analysis.
  • Improve productivity, OEE, capacity utilization, lead times, inventory and overall process stability.
  • Develop future production and logistics concepts, including layouts, capacity models, line balancing, material supply and buffer strategies.
  • Lead Value Stream Mapping and other Lean improvement initiatives together with operational teams.
  • Serve as the Industrial Engineering and OpEx expert in factory investment projects (manufacturing equipment), including the design and dimensioning of automated manufacturing cells.
  • Translate operational requirements into robust process and technical concepts, from initial assessment through implementation and stabilization.
  • Develop fact-based recommendations, business cases and implementation roadmaps.
  • Establish standards, methods and best practices for Operational Excellence and Industrial Engineering.
  • Coach stakeholders and project teams in Lean and Industrial Engineering methods.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in OpEx, Lean Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
  • University Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Deep expertise in production and logistics processes, material flow optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Hands-on experience with process optimization methodologies, bottleneck analysis, simulations, and value stream design from production cells to full factory.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders, external partners, budgets, timelines and project risks.
  • Structured, hands-on and solution-oriented working style in cross-functional teams, with strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
