Act as Electrical/Avionic Design Engineer, designing cabin-related and avionics systems for Transport Category Aircraft cabin completion and modification projects.

Tasks

  • Design cabin-related and avionics systems, including environmental control, in-flight entertainment, cabin management, communication and computer networks, satellite communication, power generation and distribution, galleys, seats, interior doors, window shades, smoke detection, passenger oxygen, water system, cabin basic lighting, and emergency lighting systems.
  • Work independently on system designs.
  • Modify, commission, and test electrical/avionic systems.
  • Prepare system specifications and service definitions.
  • Support project preparation, including requests for quotation, order descriptions, and material orders.
  • Prepare layout drawings, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, item lists, wire lists, drawings lists, and handle related ECO and PCR.
  • Prepare installation instructions and documentation (EO, SB).
  • Prepare ground and flight checks and test procedures.
  • Prepare compliance documentation, reports, and analysis regarding equipment qualification, wire routing and installation, safety, and hazard assessments.
  • Administer vendor information and manuals.
  • Liaise and cooperate with Avionic & Electrical Services Department, Office of Airworthiness, Mechanical Production Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering, vendors, suppliers, and test facilities.
  • Select equipment, components, and materials.
  • Develop electrical wiring diagrams (Visio).
  • Prepare ground and flight test procedures.
  • Develop technical, safety, and certification documentation (reports, analysis, assessments).
  • Develop engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Applicable Electronic/Electrical Engineering degree or similar qualification required.
  • Aviation experience and design engineering experience would be advantageous.
  • MS Office (Visio, Word, Excel, Power Point) and CAD literacy.
  • Good communication skills in English; German and/or French advantageous.
  • Good at time management.
  • Pro-active team player with object-oriented functioning.
  • Dedicated to quality, reliability, and safety.
