Tasks

  • Own Architecture & Technology projects end to end, taking projects from initiation through execution to closure, including cloud platforms, platform automation, middleware, and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services.
  • Be accountable for project results, not just the plan.
  • Lead technical delivery teams and go deep with them, instructing and steering engineering teams from analysis and architecture through development to live service.
  • Deep-dive into technology and drive consensus where opinions differ.
  • Set up and manage project governance, including financials, resources, scope, quality, and timeline.
  • Identify risks and issues early, remove blockers for the team, and secure buy-in from senior stakeholders, peers, and engineers.
  • Manage client and sales expectations, providing clear status, honest timelines, and a polished business and technical pitch up to C-suite and Board level.
  • Bridge business vision and technical reality by translating service and product ambitions into concrete technical implementation, and translating technical constraints back into commercial language for senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Five or more years in project management for technical, cross-functional projects.
  • University degree in technology, business, or a comparable field.
  • Proven track record delivering complex programmes end to end, spanning multiple engineering teams through the full software lifecycle (build, test, release on time), in an international, diverse, and agile-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, Platform Engineering, automation, and IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and BPaaS concepts.
  • Proven experience building and delivering scalable infrastructure platforms and services for real customers.
  • Technical credibility with engineers, able to discuss implementation detail with developers and drive consensus among stakeholders.
  • Ability to pick up new technologies in the cloud/IT space quickly.
  • Effective communication in English, up to C-suite and Board level, with a polished business and technical pitch, a can-do attitude, and willingness to drive difficult conversations to practical solutions.
  • Italian is considered a strong asset.
