The Securities Operations team is a dynamic group of Software Engineers and Business Analysts spread across several development centers, following an agile process and working closely with clients and related teams to develop product features and provide support to an extensive European customer base. The team is involved in exciting and challenging projects relating to Securities Trading, Transaction Reporting, Securities Settlement, Reconciliation, and Corporate Actions business.
Tasks
- Closely collaborate with the Team Lead, Product Owner, Business Analysts, and other Software Engineers.
- Write solution designs for new developments and have them reviewed with technical leads and architects.
- Participate in client workshops and support business analysts in requirements analysis.
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions within the team’s responsibility.
- Improve and optimize existing functionalities.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and quality assurance.
- Take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise.
- Work with agile mindset, process, and ticketing platforms (Jira).
Requirements
- Strong proven track record of relevant software development experience of minimum 3 years.
- Good knowledge and sound understanding of database technologies (SQL, Oracle PL/SQL).
- Knowledge of Java programming languages; Python, C++ or similar can be valuable.
- Eager to learn and understand the business needs aiming to provide clean designs and high-quality code.
- Strong conceptual and analytical mind with a structured and autonomous approach to work on complex technical and business problems.
- Experience in the financial industry and/or securities trading topics (bonus).
- Experience with other Trading System IT vendors (bonus).
- University degree in Computer Science or related discipline (preferable).
- Knowledge in domain specific standards for securities trading like FIX protocol, SWIFT MT or MX (ISO20022) (bonus).
