As Cash and Securities Reconciliation Specialist at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you are entrusted with reconciling transactions with custodians and cash correspondents, including monitoring any differences identified. Tasks

  • Manage daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cash and securities reconciliation processes by identifying discrepancies and allocating them to the relevant departments.
  • Reconcile physical securities and land registry extracts by physical stock taking.
  • Investigate issues, monitor open items, and follow up on resolutions.
  • Coordinate special reconciliations completed by various teams within Operations.
  • Participate in the annual audit in relation to the reconciliation process.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation efforts to support efficiency gains and operational risk mitigation.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or completed apprenticeship or similar banking education.
  • 2 - 5 years of practical experience in Operations, Backoffice, Finance, or Controlling; industry-specific knowledge is an advantage.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills; Avaloq experience is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with strong work ethics, integrity, and high level of accountability.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus.
