As Cross-Border Business Expert at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will enhance the Bank's cross-border competency by maintaining and improving the cross-border framework and providing hands-on guidance and support to the Bank's front units and internal stakeholders.

Tasks

  • Provide guidance and advice to the Bank’s front units and internal stakeholders on cross-border compliance matters and daily business questions.
  • Conduct regular cross-border market reviews and prepare analyses, assessments, and reports for management.
  • Support the production and ongoing improvement of cross-border country manuals; prepare and conduct trainings for the Bank’s front units.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and inform front units and internal stakeholders about relevant updates.
  • Further develop the Bank's cross-border framework and identify areas for improvement; perform regular updates on policies, procedures, processes, and controls.
  • Act as senior subject matter expert for cross-border topics, supporting respective business projects and initiatives.
  • Support the roll-out of the Bank's cross-border principles and standards to entities in Switzerland and international locations.
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to cross-border matters.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration or Law, or completed apprenticeship or similar banking education.
  • 3 - 5 years of practical experience in the field of cross-border regulation.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to take responsibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Hands-on mentality.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in German and/or French is a plus.
