As a (Senior) FIX Engineer Specialist at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will be part of a team developing enhancements and new solutions for the group-wide execution trading system (FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Suite - Front Arena AMS and Avaloq) as well as surrounding systems. You will also provide customization and workflow definition tasks, mainly for FIX interfaces, including project management work.

Tasks

  • Customize FIX interfaces
  • Define IT processes and workflows within order routing and trading systems, such as FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Suite - Front Arena AMS (market access, order routing, settlement) and Avaloq
  • Implement, configure and test new functionalities
  • Analyse and support on business level
  • Create technical documentation

Requirements

  • Higher education (university / FH) in IT or natural sciences, with 5 years of practical experience in the field of FIX interfaces
  • Required industry specific knowledge as well as basic knowledge in Trading (Eq, FI, Deriv, FX)
  • Hands-on experience with FIX Protocol, TLS, encryption and strong IT-affinity, especially with Windows NOS, TCP/IP
  • Knowledge of FIS Cross-Asset Trading and Risk Suite; Front Arena AMS, Avaloq and/or Python is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work with various stakeholders and willingness to take responsibility
  • Capability to work independently and ability to work under pressure
  • Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus
