As an Assembly & Test Technician, you will assemble and test prototypes and small production batches of UAV systems, working closely with the hardware and software team to ensure each product meets high quality standards before validation and deployment. This role combines mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, soldering, and functional testing, as well as preparing and maintaining assembly and test documentation to support efficient and repeatable production. You will also help organize the office by managing components, tools, and inventory, supporting both prototype development and low-volume production.

Tasks

  • Work with the systems hardware and software team to continuously improve performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware and software teams during initial testing phases, ensuring all components and systems operate as expected from the start.
  • Support full system-level integration and testing, bringing together mechanical, electronic, and software elements into a cohesive and functional setup.
  • Contribute to cabling activities, ensuring clean, reliable, and well-structured connections across the entire test environment.
  • Conduct mechanical assembly, drilling, cabling, and functional testing of prototypes and equipment.
  • Provide inventory and stock management for the R&D team, ensuring the availability of components and materials.
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly, and test procedures.

Requirements

  • You enjoy working with electronics and hands-on technical tasks.
  • You are comfortable assembling, wiring, soldering, and testing electronic systems and like solving practical problems.
  • You work carefully and pay attention to detail to ensure reliable and high-quality results.
  • You enjoy working in a lab environment and collaborating with hardware and software teams to build, test, and improve new products.
  • You are comfortable using common lab equipment to troubleshoot and validate electronic systems.
  • You are organised and understand the importance of keeping accurate documentation, managing components, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
  • CFC in Electronics, Electrical, Automation or an equivalent technical background that gives you a solid foundation in electronic systems.
  • Comfortable performing mechanical work, including drilling, assembly, and electrical wiring/cabling.
  • Skilled in soldering and electronic assembly.
  • Confidence using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators to analyse, validate, and debug signals.
  • English communication skills at CEFR level B2, both written and spoken, allowing you to collaborate effectively in an international team.
