Tasks
- Proficiency in CAD design, including part modeling, assemblies, drafting, and drawing creation (Siemens NX ideally or similar).
- Apply mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
- Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Implement design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
- Work with PLM systems (TeamCenter).
- Communicate effectively for cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage time and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Generate technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, or technician qualification with relevant experience.
- 3+ years design experience within Aerospace or Military industry.
- Strong performance, manufacturability and cost focus.
- Experience working with suppliers.
- Experience in working with products across their full life cycle.
- Knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Enjoy tackling complex design challenges and finding practical solutions.
- Sharp eye for detail and pride in building precise, well thought out designs.
- Ability to balance speed and quality to keep projects moving forward.
