Tasks
- Proficiency in CAD design, including part modeling, assemblies, drafting, and drawing creation, ideally using Siemens NX or similar software
- Apply strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals
- Utilize experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Apply familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles
- Work with PLM systems such as TeamCenter
- Communicate effectively for cross-functional collaboration
- Manage time and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Generate technical documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, or technician qualification with relevant experience
- 3+ years design experience within Aerospace or Military industry
- Strong performance, manufacturability and cost focus
- Experience working with suppliers
- Experience working with products across their full life cycle
- Knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where ideas quickly turn into real hardware
- Enjoy tackling complex design challenges and finding practical solutions for production
- Sharp eye for detail and pride in building precise, well thought out designs
- Ability to balance speed and quality to keep projects moving forward
