As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will help ensure that advanced aerial vehicles meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams, you will drive quality throughout the entire product lifecycle, from development and testing to qualification and delivery. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in supporting mission-ready systems for defense applications while helping shape a culture of excellence across the organization.

Tasks

  • Implement, maintain, and improve QA processes across hardware and software development in line with ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-160G.
  • Perform process assurance activities: audits, stage-of-involvement reviews, and conformity checks throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support certification and qualification campaigns, including environmental testing per DO-160G.
  • Interface with engineering teams, suppliers, certification authorities, and military customers on quality matters.
  • Support supplier quality assurance, including audits and incoming inspection criteria.
  • Contribute to the company QMS and its alignment with aerospace standards (e.g., AS/EN 9100).

Requirements

  • Degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of managing distributed Office Manager / Workplace teams and building consistent service standards across locations.
  • 2–5 years of experience in quality or development assurance in aerospace or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Working knowledge of ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-160G and their application across the development lifecycle.
  • Experience with military development processes and standards (e.g., MIL-STD-882, MIL-HDBK-516, AQAP 2110) highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with audits, reviews, and configuration/change management.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail; able to challenge engineering teams constructively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to European sites.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about building products that perform flawlessly in demanding environments.
  • Enjoy working across teams, balancing technical rigor with practical problem-solving, and comfortable challenging assumptions when quality is at stake.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, highly regulated environments where precision matters, and take ownership of ensuring that processes, products, and documentation consistently meet the highest standards.
  • See quality not as a final inspection step, but as a mindset embedded in every stage of development.
