Tasks
- Providing support to users both online and offline for corporate hardware and software issues.
- Performing initial diagnostics when hardware or software problems occur.
- Restoring devices and systems to working order, except for complex or major repairs.
- Setting up new computers (laptops and desktops) for users, whether on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Installing and connecting office equipment like printers and scanners to the office computer networks.
- Checking, in some cases, configuring network equipment to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Handling the transfer of faulty equipment for repairs and confirming it's back in working condition afterward.
- Assisting with the purchase of necessary equipment by helping to define requirements and accepting deliveries.
- Managing user accounts within information systems.
- Setting up user access permissions for the company's IT resources.
- Monitoring equipment performance, network operation, and user activity to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Creating user guides to help staff effectively use equipment and software.
Requirements
- Degree in information technology or similar.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical role with a wide range of responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Linux and its installation and administration.
- Configuration and use of virtualization of computing resources.
- Experience in configuring and supporting engineering software (CAD, PLM, CFD, etc.).
- Knowledge and management of Microsoft 365 & Active Directory (users, groups, etc.).
- Setting up network equipment including switches and firewalls.
- Organization of work with remote users (remote work and support tools, communication).
- Fluency in English.
- Natural problem solver who enjoys helping people and keeping systems in top shape.
- Understands how users work, what they need, and how to translate issues into quick solutions.
- Takes ownership of the environment, ensuring local IT infrastructure is stable, secure, and up to date.
