As a Senior System Engineer, you will report to the team leader of the System Team in the Platform department. You will play a key technical role in the implementation, evolution, and operational stability of Microsoft-based infrastructure platforms, both internally and for clients. You will act as a technical reference within the team, contributing to system design decisions, operational best practices, and continuous improvement of services. This role combines strong hands-on expertise with the ability to anticipate issues, standardize solutions, and collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and customers.
Tasks
- Implement, maintain, and evolve Microsoft-based environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, WSUS, SQL Server, IIS, etc.).
- Administer and optimize virtualized environments (VMware ESXi, vCenter; VM lifecycle management).
- Design and optimize system architectures to ensure performance, scalability, and security.
- Monitor infrastructure health and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Provide 2nd-level and advanced support, handling complex incidents and root cause analysis.
- Automate operations using tools like PowerShell, Puppet, Rundeck, and Terraform.
- Manage the lifecycle of Microsoft systems, ensuring they remain stable, secure and up to date.
- Share knowledge and contribute to technical standards, documentation, and team best practices.

- Your expertise covers some or all of the following: Windows Server and Microsoft ecosystem (AD, GPO, IIS, SQL Server, WSUS, RDS, DFS); Virtualization (VMware vSphere, proxmox); Backup solutions (Veeam); Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, proxy, load balancers); Scripting and automation (PowerShell, python); Monitoring tools (CheckMK or similar); Infrastructure as Code / configuration management (Terraform, Puppet).
- Additional strengths: Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure); Experience with Linux administration (Debian, RHEL); Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; Ability to document and share knowledge; Customer-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
- Excellent written and spoken French and English are required; proficiency in German is an asset.
