The Laboratory of Advanced Materials Processing (LAMP) is a multidisciplinary research unit focused on innovative functional modification of materials using beam and plasma induced processing. LAMP develops technology from novel materials to automated AI/ML systems for materials processing and quality assurance, combining additive manufacturing, laser micro-processing, multiscale modelling and AI/ML for quality monitoring and control.
Tasks
- R&D of acoustic systems, including acoustics/multi-physics simulation, experimental planning, setup, measurements and analysis
- Conceptualization and realization of novel setups, including hardware integration, CAD design and assembly
- Software development for data acquisition and processing, as well as system communication
Requirements
- FH/University degree (Master or PhD) in Acoustics, Electronics, Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in acoustics (active, passive) and laser processing
- Skills in R&D manufacturing, software development (machine communication, data acquisition, etc.), and hardware integration
- English required; French and German are a plus
