At EY, you will join the Transactions Corporate Finance (TCF) department, a unique nexus between corporate finance and M&A transactions, focusing on Transaction Diligence, Valuation, Modeling & Economics, and mid-size M&A Advisory. Based in Zurich, you will work with one of the leading mid-market M&A teams in Switzerland, Europe, and globally, gaining hands-on experience on high-profile sell- and buy-side M&A transactions with corporate clients, entrepreneurs, and financial sponsors. This internship offers a steep learning curve and may provide an opportunity to join the team full-time.

Tasks

  • Prepare transaction documents such as information memorandum, teaser, and management presentation.
  • Conduct company valuations using market and comparable transaction multiples and the DCF method.
  • Assist in the execution of M&A transactions from pitch to close.
  • Perform in-depth industry and company analyses.
  • Prepare potential buyer and target lists.
  • Support the due diligence process.
  • Sharpen technical skills in accounting, business valuations, and financial modeling.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring tight deadlines are met.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree or advanced stage of Master’s degree with excellent academic track record in business administration, finance, economics, etc.
  • First experience in relevant fields, ideally in M&A (M&A boutique, investment banking, Big Four) or in private equity, investment management, transaction diligence, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
  • Additional fluency in French advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
