EY is looking for an intern to join the Quantitative Advisory Services (QAS) team in Geneva. QAS works with clients in Financial Services on regulatory and risk modelling challenges in areas such as market, credit, liquidity, and counterparty risks, bringing together a range of quantitative modelling and technical skillsets to support clients' specific and complex requirements.

Tasks

  • Participate in engagement execution and delivery.
  • Take part in EY educational programs to continuously develop skills.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients.
  • Support clients (financial institutions and commodity trading companies) in financial risk management challenges, including the review or development of firm-wide risk quantitative models and the valuation of complex derivatives, applying advanced analytics.
  • Assist audit teams in the valuation of financial products, contracts, physical assets, and validation of risk-related models.
  • Develop technical and social skills through internal and external training opportunities, including obtaining professional degrees like GARP FRM.

Requirements

  • Recently graduated or currently finishing a master’s degree in banking and finance with strong quantitative knowledge.
  • Strong interest in Risk Management, financial product valuation, data analysis, and the banking sector, ideally developed through internships in financial environments or risk management in an international context.
  • Some knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III Final).
  • Programming experience with languages such as Python, SQL, R, C#, or VBA.
  • Curiosity about innovation (such as generative AI, AI/ML, robotics, and blockchain) and applying quantitative techniques to solve risk management problems.
  • Excellent French and English; Italian or German is a plus.
  • Open minded, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, initiative, and a flexible working style in a multinational team.
