The deMello Group in the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences at ETH Zürich is seeking a motivated PhD student for research in microfluidics and synthetic biology. The project aims to engineer synthetic cells that autonomously regulate energy metabolism and biochemical processes, integrating microfluidic precision with synthetic biology. This interdisciplinary research is conducted in collaboration with the University of Bern and will contribute to innovative applications in biotechnology, biosensing, and synthetic bioengineering.
