Lead global customs and export operations to ensure all cross-border movements follow international trade rules. You manage a team that handles daily import and export tasks, keeps up with customs and country rules, and works to make processes better and more cost-effective. This full-time role is available right away.
Your tasks
- Make sure import and export declarations are done right and all documents are kept up to date, working closely with finance on customs cost reports.
- Classify products with EU and Swiss tariff codes and keep customs, origin, and supplier data correct.
- Lead customs checks and follow supply chain security standards like AEO and Known Consignor.
- Guide customs brokers and 3PL partners to save money and improve processes.
- Work with many different teams and partners inside and outside the company and help with international distribution projects.
- Build, lead, and develop the customs team, always looking for ways to improve, use technology, and keep things running smoothly with compliant, quick solutions.
What you bring
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a similar field (MBA is a plus).
- Strong experience leading global customs and logistics operations in a large international company.
- Expert in customs compliance systems like MIC, SAP, or similar tools.
- Deep knowledge of customs processes, trade rules, and compliance needs.
- Organized, detail-focused, and good at solving problems and managing projects.
- Strong leader and team player who communicates well in a multicultural setting; fluent in German and English.
