You join a team focused on developing and testing new prototypes for wood building structures and connectors. You help evaluate and improve ideas, and test them in labs and on job sites. This role is hands-on and encourages you to think creatively. The start date is flexible, and the internship lasts 6 to 12 months.
Your tasks
- Work with an interdisciplinary development and marketing team on tomorrow's wood construction challenges.
- Help develop connectors for wood structures and other innovative solutions.
- Follow the full development process from idea to implementation.
- Design, test, and improve new product concepts from start to final validation.
- Take part in brainstorming, mechanical design, structural calculations, and understanding how connections work together.
- Do hands-on lab work, process and analyze data, and help make products easier to use.
What you bring
- You are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering for the entire internship.
- You have knowledge and practical experience in wood construction.
- You are creative and enjoy solving technical problems.
- You are passionate about innovation and product development.
- You are proactive and like working independently.
- You have strong people skills and speak English fluently (German is a plus).
