As an Intern – Global Product Management, you will step into the shoes of a Product Manager for a specific product portfolio in one of our Business Units, such as Anchors, Software, Measuring, Fire Protection, Direct Fastening, or Power Tools & Accessories. You will help identify gaps in our offering and define product visions for new products that fit customer needs and Hilti strategy. You will work closely with Global Product Managers on prototypes and have real impact on future products. This unique internship setup offers hands-on experience in product management and marketing within one of the most innovative companies in the industry. Start date is flexible to the student’s availability, with a duration of at least 6 months.
Tasks
- Take ownership of a real project by supporting the rollout of new engineering methods or helping to define one from scratch.
- Support the adoption of engineering methodologies by assisting development teams in implementing structured methods like FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis.
- Contribute to process management initiatives by refining, documenting, and standardizing internal processes, and helping teams align workflows across departments.
- Gain hands-on experience with software tools used for project planning, development methods, and process modeling, support users, document use cases, and take partial ownership of one of the tools.
Requirements
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in technical, engineering and/or business (e.g. Marketing or similar) for the whole internship duration.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills with a sense for pragmatic solutions.
- Proactive approach and self-reliant personality.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
