You join a team that researches and analyzes Mass Timber and Precast Concrete building systems. You help create new ideas for connections between building parts and test them in our lab. The start date is flexible, and the internship lasts 6 to 12 months.
Your tasks
- Work with an interdisciplinary and international research team to solve future building challenges
- Develop new connection concepts for Mass Timber and Precast Concrete building systems
- Analyze and improve building systems by combining materials like concrete, steel, and timber to check carbon footprint and strength
- Come up with new ideas for building systems and connections
- Define requirements for building connections
- Support the team with lab test planning and help with testing
- Identify the value of your ideas
What you bring
- You are enrolled in a Master’s program in Structural Engineering for the whole internship period
- You have knowledge or experience with Mass Timber or Precast Concrete construction (a plus)
- You are willing and creative in finding solutions for technical challenges
- You are passionate about innovation and research
- You work proactively and independently
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills
- You have good English skills
