You help make packaging at Hilti better by finding, testing, and checking new materials and ways to pack products. Your work helps save costs, time, and lowers the carbon footprint. You also look at current packaging tools to see how long they last and if they need fixing or replacing. You can start as soon as possible.
Your tasks
- Assist in managing packaging projects for Hilti tools, accessories, batteries, and chargers made in Europe
- Support the packaging team by finding ways to make packaging better, including doing research and going to packaging conferences
- Make models to show how changes in packaging affect costs, carbon footprint, shipping, and value stream
- Check existing packaging solutions and tools for how long they will last and what investments are needed
What you bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (preferably Packaging Technologies, Plastics, or similar) and coursework in Project Management or Plastics Production Engineering
- Knowledge of the packaging industry and how things are made and shipped worldwide
- Can organize and write technical documents and changes
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Good spoken and written English (German is a plus)
- Know how to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Like to work on your own and take on challenges
- Can work well with others and in teams from different cultures
