Join a team of passionate aviation professionals and play a key role in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and category optimization for complex aviation projects. As a senior member of the Supply Chain Management team, you help ensure reliable supply, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery for our global operations.

Your tasks

  • Define and execute category strategies for assigned spend areas, making sure they match company goals and program needs.
  • Lead procurement and act as the main category contact within MRO, RMU, and Completions project teams.
  • Oversee supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance for important goods and services.
  • Prepare business cases, including total cost of ownership and ROI analysis.
  • Work to reach cost, quality, and delivery targets for your categories.
  • Analyze markets and suppliers to make informed sourcing decisions.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production to find cost-effective and supply-secure solutions.
  • Implement plans to improve supplier performance in quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs like cost savings, on-time delivery, supplier quality, and risk.
  • Plan ahead to reduce supply risks and keep strong supplier relationships.
  • Improve category management processes, tools, and templates.
  • Follow internal policies, contracts, regulatory requirements (EASA/FAA), and EHS standards.
  • Lead strategic procurement projects like supplier consolidation, localization, and digital procurement adoption.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the team.

What you bring

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement or category management, preferably in manufacturing or aviation/aerospace.
  • Proven success in developing and carrying out category strategies in a project-driven industry.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with contract management experience.
  • Good understanding of procurement, supplier quality, and logistics processes.
  • PMP, CPSM, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Comfortable using ERP systems (such as SAP) and procurement/category management tools.
  • Fluent in English; German or French is helpful.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced settings and able to manage multiple high-value projects at once.
  • Experience with MRO, RMU, or Completions projects in aviation or aerospace is valued.
  • Knowledge of Lean Management and aviation regulatory requirements (EASA/FAA).
  • Other certifications (CIPS, Lean Six Sigma, or operational excellence certifications) are an advantage.
  • Strong skills in influencing and managing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Customer-focused and business-minded, aiming to add value for end customers.
  • Open to learning and growth, receptive to feedback, and ready to take the lead on initiatives to help develop the Strategic Procurement department.
  • Familiarity with negotiation tools like game theory or should-cost modelling is a plus.
