Liebherr Machines Bulle SA is the centre of excellence for combustion engines (diesel and gas engines) and hydraulic components (axial piston pumps and motors). The company develops and produces various products used in building construction and civil engineering, mining, agriculture, decentralised energy, machine and plant engineering, as well as aerospace.
Tasks
- Make sure to understand customers and market requirements for diesel gensets
- Define the product strategy and product roadmap
- Conduct business cases and profitability analyses
- Analyze the market and the competition within the diesel genset segment
- Manage requirements and ensure that the product fulfills them
- Ensure the success of the assigned product group throughout its entire life cycle in a matrix organization
- Ensure the long- and short-term profitability of the product group
- Manage the product portfolio and product variants
- Track all relevant product KPIs (financial, quality, delivery performance) and work to improve them
- Proactively monitor and participate in industry events related to diesel power generation to identify and leverage new developments
Requirements
- Hold a university degree in Engineering with good commercial understanding or in Commercial with good technical understanding
- More than 5 years of experience in product management and/or business development within the Genset industry
- Strong industry knowledge and hands-on experience with diesel engines Gensets
- Excellent command of English and German (B2), knowledge of French is considered as an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project
- Recognized for strong commercial and customer-oriented mindset
- Enthusiastic and open personality, combined with excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
