Liebherr Machines Bulle SA is the centre of excellence for combustion engines (diesel and gas engines) and hydraulic components (axial piston pumps and motors). The company develops and produces various products used in building construction and civil engineering, mining, agriculture, decentralised energy, machine and plant engineering, as well as aerospace.

Tasks

  • Define the technical specifications of components to be developed and their key operating parameters
  • Work in a cross-functional team to ensure that the chosen technologies and specifications match project requirements
  • Prepare the planning of the development tasks
  • Support FMEA processes and update and follow up on internal and external engine test activities
  • Define, monitor and update DVP&Nr tasks
  • Work regularly with suppliers on technology surveys, component development, and tear-down activities
  • Responsible for 8D troubleshooting for the concerned subsystem
  • Define maintenance requirements for the subsystem and report its development status to the platform manager
  • Report the subsystem development status and escalation topics to line and product line management

Requirements

  • Successfully completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Advanced knowledge in the field of combustion engines, DVP&Nr methodology, as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • More than 5 years of experience in engine and hardware development
  • Experience with engine subsystems, including hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components
  • Excellent command of English and good knowledge of French or German
  • Excellent command of MS Office
  • Analytical thinker with strong leadership skills
  • Approach work with flexibility and resilience, while remaining mindful of cost and resources
