Test Technician (m/w/x)

Liebherr Machines Bulle SA is the centre of excellence for combustion engines (diesel and gas engines) and hydraulic components (axial piston pumps and motors). The company develops and produces various products used in building construction and civil engineering, mining, agriculture, decentralised energy, machine and plant engineering, as well as aerospace.

• Participate in the development and testing of Diesel and Gas engines and undertake tasks to validate engine components using engines in the test benches.
• Work closely with and support a test engineer, acting as the interface between the test engineer and workshop for engine assembly and disassembly.
• Create engine assembly requests for all development engines, including dataset, metrology and instrumentation requests.
• Ensure that tasks defined and requested during engine assembly and disassembly are correctly performed and create reports accordingly.
• Request needed measurement devices and use some, such as borescope and wrench, to measure tightening and residual torque.
• Be accountable for the engine bill of material and corresponding parts running time during all engine life.
• Create test programs, follow testing activities on test benches, analyse measurements and write associated reports.
• Describe mechanical failures that might occur during testing activities and provide support for resolution.
• Be involved in logistic activities to move, store, send or scrap parts.
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of processes such as workflows, test procedures, assembly and disassembly procedures.
