The actual location of this job is in Basel, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed. This role is primarily based on site. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards. Flexibility to work remotely for no more than 20% of your time is offered, with requests considered on a case‑by‑case basis in line with business needs.
Tasks
- Lead the design of GCC Source-to-Pay (S2P) procurement processes, ensuring alignment with global procurement standards, policies, and ERP templates.
- Define future-state operating models and foster collaboration between Procurement, GBSO, ERP teams, business stakeholders, and governance bodies.
- Drive procurement design workshops and ensure procurement requirements are embedded in cross-functional decisions and transformation initiatives.
- Review, validate, and govern procurement process documentation, workflows, SOPs, and AI-generated outputs to ensure quality and operational readiness.
- Support transition and service readiness by ensuring effective controls, hand-offs, training materials, and Day-1 operational capability.
- Establish and monitor service performance frameworks, including SLAs, KPIs, risk management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and champion automation, digital enablement, and standardized best practices to deliver scalable and efficient procurement operations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are highly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain transformation, shared services, GBS, or operating model design, ideally within complex global organizations.
- Strong expertise in designing and optimizing procurement and supply chain processes within Global Capability Centers (GCCs) or shared services environments.
- Proven track record supporting GBS/SSC implementations and large-scale ERP transformations, particularly SAP S/4HANA programs.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, service delivery models, performance frameworks, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence senior leaders across multiple workstreams.
- Experience in consulting environments, familiarity with AI-enabled process documentation tools, and exposure to the life sciences or CDMO industry are strong advantages.
