Your tasks

  • You build and refine the category strategy to meet company financial goals over three years.
  • You plan and select the menswear range before the season starts.
  • You work with the Merchandise Planner to set category targets, margin goals, and assortment plans.
  • You do market research, competitive analysis, and review what customers want.
  • You find, choose, and negotiate with brands and suppliers for good prices, terms, and exclusives.
  • You build strong relationships with vendors through performance reviews and business planning.
  • You make sure product data is correct, manage samples, and check compliance and quality.
  • You work with vendors on marketing and new product launches.
  • You optimize SKU productivity, category segmentation, and option counts.
  • You manage the product lifecycle from introduction to end-of-life.
  • You set retail prices and plan promotions to meet margin targets.
  • You work with Planning on markdowns, reorders, and product exits.

What you bring

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or a similar field.
  • You have 4–7 years of experience in Buying, ideally with a multi-brand retailer or department store.
  • You understand finances well and have experience negotiating with vendors.
  • You have experience in the Swiss retail market.
  • You speak English and also German, French, or Italian.
