Your tasks

  • Help build and improve the category strategy to meet our company goals.
  • Plan and choose the product range for each season.
  • Work with the Merchandise Planner to set targets, margin goals, budgets, and product mix.
  • Research the market, study competitors, and review customer insights.
  • Find, choose, and negotiate with brands and suppliers for the best prices, terms, and exclusive deals.
  • Build good relationships with vendors through regular reviews and planning together.
  • Make sure product data is correct and that samples meet our quality standards.
  • Work with vendors on marketing and bringing in new products.
  • Keep product choices and categories well organized and productive.
  • Manage product life cycles, including launches, ongoing products, and end-of-life actions.
  • Set retail prices and plan promotions to reach margin goals.
  • Work with Planning on markdowns, reorders, and exit strategies.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of buying experience, ideally in a multi-brand retailer or department store.
  • Strong skills in finance and negotiating with vendors.
  • Can create and share a clear vision to inspire teams and get results.
  • Experience in the Swiss retail market.
  • Passion for womenswear and a good eye for product, style, fabric, and trends.
  • Fluent in English plus either German, French, or Italian.
