Your tasks
- Work with teams to drive new research in aroma and taste, using your flavor knowledge to make prototypes.
- Share your findings clearly with leaders, project managers, and business partners.
- Suggest new projects that support research and business goals.
- Lead project work to reach goals on time, working with experts in sensory science and material science.
- Manage project budgets and make sure knowledge is shared with Product Technology Centers.
- Work with different experts to find new ideas and start new projects.
- Spot technical gaps and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in flavor science.
- Bring together technical and business knowledge to suggest new ideas and partnerships.
- Watch for new developments in flavor science and share useful external technology.
What you bring
- Ph.D. in food, flavor, or analytical chemistry, with knowledge of data science; industrial experience is a plus.
- Research and applied science experience in flavor sciences, with links to sensory benefits.
- Hands-on lab experience with volatile and non-volatile analysis (GC-MS, GC-O, LC/MS).
- Skill in programming languages like Python and R, and experience with statistical analysis (PLS, PCA) and data visualization.
- Basic knowledge of sensory techniques.
- Can explain complex scientific results in simple ways for different audiences.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong networking skills and proactive attitude.
- Good at working in diverse teams, open and creative in solving problems.
- Experience leading innovative projects and using modeling or diet formulation.
