Your tasks
- Monitor pilot plant instrumentation to keep everything running smoothly and reduce downtime.
- Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and on-call support tasks.
- Work with pilot plant, laboratory, QA, engineering, and safety teams to solve electrical and automation issues.
- Diagnose first-level electrical and automation problems and decide if repairs are done internally or by an external service.
- Follow calibration procedures, keep technical documentation updated, and apply corporate engineering standards.
- Use digital tools to create data analytics reports and share insights.
- Support automation projects, help with commissioning, and bring in new technologies.
- Always follow strict safety, food safety, and quality standards with zero tolerance for unsafe situations.
What you bring
- Electrical and/or automation technician diploma or similar qualification.
- At least three years of experience in instrumentation, automation, or E&A in R&D or industrial settings.
- Strong skills in process instrumentation, calibration, process control, and loop tuning.
- Knowledge of PLC/HMI programming, electrical safety, and maintenance practices.
- Experience in food processing technologies, hygienic engineering, and food safety is a plus.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate well with other teams.
- Fluent in English and French, spoken and written.
