As a Junior Research Assistant in Packaging Safety at Nestlé Research, your mission is to develop, validate and apply analytical methods for novel coated paper packaging materials. Tasks
- Contribute to the development of robust analytical methods that help assess the safety and performance of innovative packaging materials.
- Perform packaging characterization analyses that support reliable research outcomes and project decisions.
- Consolidate and interpret data and write clear analytical documentation that enables quality, research and project teams to act with confidence.
- Participate in transferring analytical methods to operations and support end users throughout the method lifecycle.
- Contribute to quality, safety and knowledge-sharing practices that help teams work consistently across sites.
- Engage with internal and external partners to stay at the forefront of packaging safety science and analytical technologies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry or a related scientific discipline, combined with a strong interest in analytical sciences, packaging safety and sustainable packaging technologies.
- Apply knowledge of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry or material characterization.
- Use hands-on laboratory experience from academic projects, internships or research activities to deliver reliable experimental work.
- Collaborate with curiosity, attention to detail and strong data analysis, problem-solving and scientific reporting skills.
- Working proficiency in English and French.
