Your tasks

  • Design and build scientific data pipelines for research, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics.
  • Develop and deploy scalable data architectures on Linux or cloud platforms, making sure they perform well and follow data governance rules.
  • Work with external developers and internal specialists like data architects, data scientists, AI engineers, and software developers to deliver important projects quickly.
  • Join cross-functional research teams to define project goals, choose the best technical solutions, and deliver results.
  • Work with other teams to gather requirements and improve data quality, metadata management, and data discoverability.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science with life sciences, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience designing and implementing data pipelines and architectures in research or scientific environments, ideally in the food or pharma industry.
  • Strong skills in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and distributed data systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data work and pipeline development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (like Azure) and orchestration tools (such as Airflow or ADF).
  • Experience with data lake and data warehouse technologies (such as Snowflake, DBT).
  • Experience with Linux and container tools (Openshift, Docker, Podman).
  • Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, Git, and CI/CD frameworks.
  • Experience with Bioinformatics, Clinical, or Omics data pipelines.
  • Experience coding with AI tools (like GitHub Copilot).
  • Awareness of agentic architecture frameworks.
  • Experience working with external teams and leading project streams.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and knowledge sharing skills.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
