Tasks
- Plan and execute work packages within the area of responsibility, including reporting and escalating issues to management.
- Act as subject matter expert for an assigned area of responsibility.
- Provide guidance and support to team members.
- Generate required documentation, procedures, and technical reports.
- Prepare and deliver presentations of project results to team and management.
- Design and execute experiments in biosafety levels S1 and S2 laboratory.
- Create test cases based on product requirements.
- Execute test cases, analyze results, and create respective regulatory documents.
- Track issues and verify bug fixes and anomalies.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Document and maintain software functionality.
- Coordinate efforts with other functional areas such as hardware, software, consumables, and assay development.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant life science discipline (e.g. biology, biotechnology, biomedical informatics, engineering related to life sciences) or corresponding job experience.
- Interest in resolving technical problems and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Experience and willingness to work in a highly regulated industry and labs with biosafety levels S1 and S2.
- Familiarity with or strong interest in software and engineering applications and tools.
- Enthusiastic team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
- Solution-oriented, autonomous, and proactive working style.
- Proven experience in laboratory diagnostics and/or service & support, as well as supporting hardware and software, are additional assets.
- Working knowledge of English (written and spoken), and German is a strong asset.
