Tasks
- Design and execute in vitro experiments using complex cellular models to evaluate the efficacy and safety of novel therapeutic candidates for cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
- Cultivate primary cell lines from human and animal tissues, optimizing protocols for primary cell isolation, differentiation and maintenance.
- Execute functional cell-based and enzymatic assays to study metabolic pathways and related readouts such as lipolysis, glucose uptake, and cAMP signaling.
- Apply advanced cellular and biochemical techniques, including cell painting and metabolic flux analysis using Seahorse to evaluate cellular bioenergetics.
- Utilize standard molecular biology techniques such as qPCR, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
- Analyze experimental data with statistical tools, preparing high-quality reports and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
- Experience with animal handling, treatment and functional metabolic experimentation is advantageous.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related field, or completed vocational training in biology.
- Minimum of 3 years in a pharma industry laboratory setting.
- Proficient in cell culture, molecular biology, and biochemical techniques.
- Familiar with metabolic and/or cardiovascular cellular models.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and skillful interaction with people.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent data management and record-keeping skills.
