Tasks
- Determine the required materials and generate purchase orders, ensuring that materials are sourced according to the defined lead time and inbound cost is under control.
- Balance the trade-off between inventory levels, inbound costs, and customer service, working to provide the maximum service for internal production.
- Ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for internal production.
- Manage inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
- Liaise with customer support, suppliers, and distributors, maintaining good relationships with all of them.
- Manage master data and analyze SAP data to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information, and extract business relevant insights.
- Learn the basics of inbound flows and their cost drivers to be able to act as deputy of the team Inbound Specialist.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Economy or Math.
- At least 2 years experience in multinational and structured companies in procurement and/or material planning functions.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP MM and Excel.
- Fluent in Italian and English (German is a plus).
