You help plan and carry out electrical and instrumentation projects at our multipurpose production site in Muttenz. You make sure projects are finished on time, within budget, and meet safety and quality standards. You work in an international team, support important work in crop protection, and enjoy a friendly work environment where health and safety come first.

Your tasks

  • Lead parts of engineering capital projects with guidance from an Engineering Manager or Project Manager
  • Manage one or more small engineering capital projects
  • Give technical leadership for projects, including design, construction, electrical line tests, and support during commissioning
  • Estimate, execute, and track costs and progress to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Coordinate internal and external project team members
  • Identify, specify, and monitor engineering standards for design, procurement, and construction
  • Prepare engineering definition packages and develop detailed designs
  • Agree on project data needs and provide accurate documentation
  • Plan and manage teams for electrical line tests
  • Evaluate current equipment and infrastructure
  • Develop cost, scope, and resource requirements for electrical installations in CAPEX projects
  • Control and release installations
  • Perform I/O checks and signal verification
  • Diagnose and solve software and hardware issues
  • Close and document projects, handing over fully operational assets

What you bring

  • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or similar field
  • Advanced knowledge of DeltaV
  • Several years of experience in an industrial environment
  • Experience in construction projects as a project engineer across the full project lifecycle, ideally in multinational companies
  • Project management experience in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical, or process industry preferred
  • Experience leading external resources
  • Good understanding of maintenance principles and change management
  • Knowledge of HSE and compliance for CAPEX investments
  • Precise and entrepreneurial working style
  • Ability to handle stress well
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • High level of German and at least conversational English
  • Willing to work in a chemical production environment
