Join a dynamic research team focused on clinical trials and studies that explore the biological, clinical, environmental, and lifestyle factors influencing healthy longevity. The goal is to generate evidence that shapes strategies for promoting longer and healthier lives at both individual and population levels. This role is based at the University of Basel Department of Aging Medicine FELIX PLATTER, part of the Swiss Campus for Healthy Longevity. You will work in an interdisciplinary and translational research environment that bridges academic research and clinical application within an international network.
Your tasks
- Clean, analyze, interpret, and summarize data from clinical trials in both interventional and observational settings
- Support staff members and doctoral students with research and methodology, including study design, research proposal development, data cleaning, and statistical analysis
- Write reports and manuscripts, and present findings
- Contribute to grant and funding proposal writing
What you bring
- PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field
- Strong experience in clinical epidemiological research or large-scale population studies; experience with epigenetics or multi-omics is a plus
- Strong skills in study design and data analysis
- Ability to manage and contribute to multiple projects at the same time
- Proficiency in statistical software, especially SAS or R
- Proven excellence in manuscript writing and scientific publication
- Excellent written and spoken English; German is a plus
